What we are doing to keep you COVID safe?
-
We have Hand Sanitiser and Hand Wash stationed in multiple locations throughout the distillery for ease of access and frequent use.
-
We have fewer people per session and on site within the Distillery premises so that we can ensure we are compliant with 1.5m distancing guidelines.
-
We maintain thorough and frequent sanitisation of all equipment and surfaces that visitors and Gin School guests come into contact with, both before and after each class. This includes (but is not limited to) sterilising botanical containers, glassware, pens and pencils, metal utensils, books and bench tops, as well as sanitising door handles, levers, light switches, stairway railings and our bathroom facilities.
-
We carry out a questionnaire at beginning of each class as well as at the time of booking, to ask if any students have symptoms of flu or been in contact with anyone who has had in the last 14 days. If so, they will need to leave and/or reschedule another class at a later date (minimum 14 days into the future).
-
All employees at Brisbane Distillery have completed the COVID-Safe online training course.
-
All towels for hand washing and drying are laundered regularly.
-
Brisbane Distillery has appointed a Workplace Health and Safety Officer, whose responsibilities include monitoring and managing COVID risks at the venue.
-
Regular updates and advice that are received from the Queensland and Australian government are disseminated to all staff, so that the entire team are aware of any evolving risks and preventative measures.
-
We only take cashless payments onsite.
-
Any staff that can work from home are setup to work from home.
-
The venue enjoys natural airflow as well as air conditioning throughout.
-
Any staff showing symptoms of a cold and/or flu are asked not to come to work and are prevented from doing so.
-
COVID prevention signage and information is posted around the venue, including correct hygiene procedures and the company’s COVID Work Health and Safety plan.
-
Any food preparation is performed according to government and industry guidelines, including the use of thoroughly washed surfaces with any staff that comes into contact with food utilising gloves.
